Our Mission
The Maine Parent Federation, Inc. is a statewide family support organization which promotes individual aspirations for all people
through information, education and advocacy.
The Maine Parent Federation, Inc. is a statewide private non-profit organization that provides information, advocacy, education, and training to parents and professionals to benefit all children. We promote individual aspirations and community inclusion for people with disabilities. In existence since 1984, MPF is physically located in Augusta Maine, but assistance is available on a statewide basis.
MPF services are offered at no cost to parents and a small fee for professionals. Regular office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Walk-ins are welcome. If you are unable to call or visit during this time, please call and leave a message or email us and someone will get back to you. All contact information is listed below.
Through our projects, individuals can receive information about: specific disabilities, parenting issues, education, services, support groups and other resources available to assist families and professionals within the home, school and community. For a full MPF Brochure, click here.
DOE Parent Survey
Each year the Maine Department of Education (MDOE) conducts a review of schools and CDS sites regarding the delivery of special education and early intervention services. Maine Parent Federation is working with the MDOE to collect parent feedback through three parent surveys based on the age of the child: Children under age 3; Children 3-5; and Children 5-20.
